Obituary of Russel Byrant Smith

It is with a sense of profound loss that the friends of the late Russel Byrant Smith announce his passing on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his residence in Sussex, NB. Russel was born on November 15, 1953, in Sussex, New Brunswick.

Russel will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his many neighbours and friends in both the Sussex and Hampton areas.

Russel spent most of his life as a mail carrier for Canada Post. He was a lover of the outdoors and had a deep appreciation for all of the wildlife that rural New Brunswick has to offer. Though he was a very private person by nature, he was the type who would quickly become a friend to all who crossed his path. He would offer you the shirt off his back and will be remembered as a friendly and respected neighbour.
