I have known Don all my life. He was always around when we were little kids and then came back into our lives as teenagers when he came to visit with Lucille. Thank you Don for staying with my nannie and uncle to help with they needed it. You always helped anyone. Rest with the angels

We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I 1st met Don when he use to go with a cousin of mine in Tatamagouche N.S. When he came to Sussex, he lived with my Mom and brother in Wards Creed up until when my brother passed and he moved to town (Sussex). I haven't been in touch much with Don over the past few years and often wondered how he was doing. Sorry I didn't know this a few days ago or I would have paid a visit to the parlours. Keeping you all in thoughts and prayers.
Sincerly; Rose Brighton and Ron McShane

Don was always very polite and had lots of stories of nice things he had done for people. I truly believe he had a good heart. We used to sit on the bench together time to time infront of our apartment building.

Don and I enjoyed teasing each other at Barbershop. He was a wonderful man who now was very mysterious but he was kind and helpful to all always being polite and courteous. He enjoyed coming to my place to do choirs around property and I always found somthing he could do to his ability. We then would have a big feed cooked on wood stove which he and I enjoyed.I have come too realize that some have lived many lives and we all loved having Don (Alex) with laughs and jokes never ending. He spent many hours with me at Barber Joe’s barbershop that Joe made him our Honary barbershop manager he wore his shirt every week.RIP my friend
