Mary Mildred Vallis, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, passed away at her residence on May 12, 2002. Mary was born in New Jerusalem NB on September 16, 1904, she was the daughter of the late Timothy LeBaron and Margaret Hettie (Easton) Short and the beloved wife of the late Caswell Vallis who passed away in 1963. Mary is survived by her brother, Albert Short of New Glasgow, NS, 2 sisters: Ruth Selfridge of Columbus, Ohio and Olive Andrews of Grand Bay, 3 grandchildren David, Margaret, Edward Jr., 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews Mary was predeceased by her step-son Edward, 4 sisters; Winnifred, Grace, Ida, Inez, and by 2 brothers; Eldon, Ira,. Mary Mildred Vallis Mary was a Red Cross volunteer during WWII, and a retired Nurse. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 10:00 am. A Graveside service will be held at Brown's Flat United Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
