Catherine M. (Kay) Norden of Penobsquis, NB, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on November 27, 2001. Kay was born in Richibucto, NB on August 3, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Stewart) Elward. Kay was the beloved wife of the late John William Norden, who passed away in 1989. She has left to mourn 5 daughters, Shirley McKenna and her husband Doug of Anagance, Edie Marks of Penobsquis, Marjorie Norden and Shane Logan of Saint John, Kathy Norden of Penobsquis, Barbara Norden and Dan Cormier of Saint John; 4 sons Bill of Penobsquis, Jim and his wife Heather of Sussex, Mike of St. Martins, Travis of Penobsquis; 3 sisters Margaret Murphy of Saint John, Maxine Collins and her husband Bert of Moncton, Teresa Gogan and her husband Len of Salisbury, 7 grandchildren John, Peirce, A.J., Megan, Corey, Nicole and Amy, as well as several nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by 2 sisters Viola and Jessie, 3 brothers Fred, Buster and Alec. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr. Sussex, (506) 433-1176, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Funeral service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on November 30, 2001 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating. The burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Penobsquis.
