MR. ELMER FREDERICK SMITH, of 93 Fowler Avenue, Sussex, NB passed away at Sussex Health Centre on October 2, 2001. Born in Berwick NB on December 15, 1918, he was the son of the late William K. and Hazel M. (Killiam) Smith. He was the beloved husband of the late Enid (Osborne) Smith who passed away in 1995. Elmer is survived by his daughters, Angela Bartlett and her husband Don of Berwick and Sandra Benson and her husband Jim of Sussex, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Elmer was a body repairman retiring from J. Clark's & Sons after 25 years. He was a former member of the Sussex Trailer Club, Sussex Kiwanis Club and Golden K Ramblers. He was a volunteer fireman for over 25 years and also a member of Sussex United Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday 7-9, Friday 2-4, 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Saturday, October 06, 2001 at 11:00 am, with Pastor Gordon Walker officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery. Donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
