RNEST JOHN BECK of Coles Island, New Brunswick, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on July 14, 2001. Born in Brookvale, NB, on September 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Hutchinson) Beck. He was the husband of the late Donna Beatrice Barton Beck, who passed away in 1986. He is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie Moss and her husband Doug of Cherryvale and Sandra Beck and her husband Darren Holst of Sussex, 3 sons, Leonard and his wife Betty of Long Creek, Byron and his wife Sandra of Coles Island, Michael and Lisa Fairweather of Coles Island. 3 brothers, James and his wife Loretta, Leslie and his wife Luella, Walter and his wife Annie. 4 sisters, Lola Brooker and her husband Barry, Edith Price, Dora Phillips and her husband Charles, Shirley Black and her husband Joe, 2 brothers-in-law, Hedley Chown and Allan Smith, a sister-in-law, Alta Killam, 10 grandchildren, Greg, Geoff, Mitch, Olivia, Jason, Tammy, Sara, Donna, John, Matthew, several nieces and nephews. Ernest was predeceased by his grandson, Bradley Beck, his brother, George Beck and his sisters Iva Smith and Beatrice Chown. Ernest was a member of the Coles Island United Baptist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, from where visitation was held. Funeral service was held from Coles Island Baptist Church on July 16, 2001 with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. Interment was in Coles Island Cemetery, Coles Island. The Pallbearers were: Darren Beck, Steven Beck, Bev Wood, Floyd Wiggins, Glendon Beach, Larry Wood
