Obituary of Gloria McKay
MRS. GLORIA EVA MARY McKAY, of Poodiac, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on June 8, 2001. Born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on November 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Olgar and Myrtle (Benjamin) Byhre. She is survived by her beloved husband Jack, her daughter Jacqueline Hamre and her husband Brad of Hamilton, Ontario, 2 sons Roy and his wife Janet of Cassidy Lake and Paul and Lucy of Miramichi, 4 brothers Don Johnson and his wife Rose of Cassidy Lake, Nathan Benjamin and his wife Wanda of Saint John, Chesley Benjamin and his wife Carol of Gardners Creek and Joe Benjamin and his wife Heather of Cassidy Lake. 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her daughter Cindy Adair in 1999, by her sister Norma Thompson and by her grandson Kenneth Blain. Gloria was a member of both the Norton House Mixed Dart League and the KV Ladies Dart League, she was also a member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday 7-9 Sunday 2-4, 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 11, 2001 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Allen Tapley officiating. Interment at Trinity Cemetery. Donations made to the Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
