Obituary of Ronald Pollock
Mr. Ronald Albert Pollock, of Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Sussex Health Centre on May 10, 2001. Born in Poodiac, NB on March 28, 1931, he was the son of the late Albert Pollock and Alice (Allaby) Pollock. Ron is survived by his wife Florence (McNamara) Pollock, 2 daughters Barbara Richard and her husband Tony of Saint John, Joanne Sands and Randy Smith of Calgary, Alberta, his son Noble of Newtown, his brother Norman and his wife Lorraine of Sussex, 5 sisters; Winnie Bradshaw and her husband Joe of Halifax, Francis Carr of Saint John, Dorothy Hayes and her husband Cecil of Sebring, Florida, Betty Taylor and her husband Clarence of Halifax, Charlotte Pickett and her husband Fred of Sussex, his sister-in-law, Joyce Pollock of Poodiac, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several step brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his sisters Ruth Campbell and Marie Hodgins and by 2 1/2 sisters Willa Porter and Gertrude Patterson and a half brother Ken Pollock. Ron was a retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He was an adhered at St. Paul's United Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20, the Smith Creek Golden Age Club and the Sussex Tuesday Morning Seniors. Among his interests where Shuffleboard and Darts. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday 7-9, Sunday 2-4, 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Sunday evening at 6:45. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 14, 2001 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Bob Hussey officiating. Committal service to follow at Youngs Cove United Cemetery. Donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
