Maggie Elizabeth McCollum, of Sussex, passed away at her home in the arms of her parents on April 29, 2001. Born in Saint John, on September 5, 2000. This special little girl was the daughter of Greg and Shelley (Whitters) McCollum. Maggie's short time with us will be always be remembered in the hearts of her maternal grandmother, Bonnie Whitters of Sussex, her paternal grandparents, David and Joyce McCollum of Amherst, her paternal great grandfather Vanwart Spicer of Amherst, and her several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Maggie was predeceased by her maternal grandfather John Whitters who passed away in 1994. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier RC Church on Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 1:00 pm, with Fr. Peter Bagley officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends for a time of fellowship following the mass in the Church Hall. Donations made to IWK, Pediatric ICU at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Ducks Unlimited Canada or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
