Obituary of Leo Fenton
Mr. Leo Clarence Fenton of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, formerly of Sussex Corner, NB passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on January 22, 2001 at the age of 87. Born in Millstream, NB on October 16, 1913, he was the son of the late Patrick and Sadie (Rilley) Fenton and the beloved husband of the late Regina 'Jean' (Doyle) Fenton who passed away in 1993. Leo is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Cummings and her husband Eugene of Norton, Shirley McKnight and her husband Charles of Berwick Road, 2 sons, Bernard and his wife Marion of Carsonville and Paul of Sussex, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by 2 brothers, Leonard and Joe and by 3 sisters, Theresa, Alice and Mary. Leo drove snow plow for the department of Transportation for many years as well as drove School bus , after his retirement in 1976 he spent his time working on cars. He enjoyed card games and visiting with friends and family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where visitation was held. The Funeral Service was held from St. Phillips Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 10:00 am. The interment took place in St. Phillips Roman Catholic Cemetery.
