Obituary of Alvilda Dixon
Mrs. ALVILDA MARIE DIXON, of Kenneth Spencer Memorial, Moncton, NB and formerly of Sussex and Moncton, passed away at Kenneth Spencer Memorial on December 18, 2000, born in Elgin NB on June 20, 1907.
She was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Charity M. (Colpitts) Graves. She was the beloved wife of the late J. William L. (Bill) Dixon who passed away in 1972.
Alvilda was the last surviving member of her immediate family she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Alvilda was predeceased by her sisters, Leone (Harry) Steeves, Kathleen (Clifford) Holman, Lillian (George) Paterson and by a brother Norman Graves.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and UCW while a resident of Sussex and a member of Central United Church and UCW after moving to Moncton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of WALLACE FUNERAL HOME 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). The family will be receiving relatives and friends an hour before the funeral which will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Bob Hussey Officiating. Interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery in the Spring. Donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
