MR. DAVID MacFARLANE, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, New Brunswick and formerly of Berwick, passed away at his residence, on December 3, 2000. Born in Woodspoint, PEI on July 23, 1922, he was the son of the late Davis and Agnes (MacLellan) MacFarlane. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Barker) MacFarlane who passed away in 1996. David is survived by 2 step-daughters, Marie Anne Todd and her husband Jim of Petrolia, Ontario and Sandra Steeves of Saint John. 4 sisters, Mina Nicholle of White Sands, PEI, Effie MacLean of Sherwood, PEI, Agnes Bell of Sherwood, PEI, Bertha MacLean of Belfast, PEI, a special niece, Sheila McLean, of Belfast, PEI, 3 step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. David was a retired custodian from the Sussex Post Office, and in earlier years was employed with CIL Paint. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of WALLACE FUNERAL HOME 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday 2-4, 7-9 at Wallace Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Warren Vollmer Officiating. Interment at Wesley United Cemetery. Donations made to Arthritis Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
