James Lyle Roberts of Sussex Corner, was born in Saint John on November 28, 1912, he was the son of the late Albert and Lizbeth (Squibb) and was the husband of the late Eva (Taysum) Roberts. Lyle retired from Irving Pulp and Paper- Shipping Shed and he attended the Church of the Nazerene. Mr. James Roberts passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on July 23, 2000 at the age of 87. James Lyle will be lovely remembered by his daughter; Linda Shay and her partner Herbert Hoyt of Toronto, three sons; Walter and his partner Lynda Miller of Toronto, David and wife Myra of Markhamville, NB, L. Douglas and wife Lorraine of Otter Lake, NB; son-in-law, Walter VanWart and his wife Marguerite of Lower Kars, NB; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lyle was predeceased by a daughter Elizabeth Ann VanWart; brother Arthur and two sisters; Hazel and May and foster sister Olive (Prince) Donovan. . Lyle retired from Irving Pulp and Paper- Shipping Shed and he attended the Church of the Nazerene. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A service celebrating James Lyle's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 27, 2000 at 11:00 am.
