Obituary of Alfred Fournier
Alfred Fournier was born in St. Basille on March 4, 1920, he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Laura (Morin) Fournier and was the husband of the late Mary Isabel (Belle) (Kelly) Fournier.
Alfred served overseas during WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Sussex Branch # 20.
Mr. Alfred Joseph Fournier of Apohaqui, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 20, 2000 at the age of 80. Alfred Joseph is survived by seven children; James of Edmonton, Alfred Jr. of Poodiac, Michael of Bruderheim, Alberta, John of Poodiac, Mary Malone of Norton, Theresa Fulton of Sussex, Margaret Hoefnagels of Strathroy, Ontario; brothers; Joseph of Toronto; sister; Rela Lavigne of St.Sauveur, Quebec; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and also by several nieces and nephews.
Alfred was predeceased by seven sisters; Jean, Lucy, Eva, Claire, Yvonne, Yvette, and Marie; one brother; Jacques and by his special friends Eleanor Lavoie, Ida Moffett, and Marion McLean.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday
from 6-9 pm.
A service celebrating Alfred Joseph's life will be held from St.Phillip's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, July 24, 2000 at 10:30 am. The interment will take place at St. Phillips RC Cemetery.
