John O'Leary was born in Beaver Dam, NB on February 10, 1926, he was the son of the late Harry and Gladys (Mersereau) O'Leary and was the husband of the late Barbara Anne (Lewis) O'Leary. John was a retired heavy equipment operator. Mr. John O'Leary of Penobsquis, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on July 10, 2000 at the age of 74. John will be remembered by a step-daughter, Samantha Bustard and her husband Mike of Saint John; four brothers; Harold O'Leary of Denver, Colorado, Doug O'Leary and his wife Mabel, Herb O'Leary and his wife Annetta and Phillip O'Leary and his wife Vonda all of Beaver Dam, NB; three sisters; Barbara Myshrall and her husband Dick of Charters Settlement, Marie Charters and her husband Wayne, Ellen Peterson and her husband Max all of New Maryland; 2 grandchildren; Megan and Mike; also by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service celebrating John 's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 14, 2000 at 11:00 am.
