Obituary of Johann Rupp
Johann (Hans) Rupp was born in Schwalbach-Saar, Germany on April 29, 1927, he was the son of the late Johann and Maria Elizabeth (Kreutzer) Rup and was the husband of the late Virginia (Porter) Rupp.
Hans was a coal miner in Germany for 27 years.
Mr. Johann (Hans) Rupp of Moosehorn Creek, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on June 8, 2000 at the age of 73. Johann Andreas (Hans) will be remembered by his two daughters; Maggie Monahan and her husband Donald of Smith Creek, Marlies Gregg and her husband Royce of Sussex; three sons; Lothar of Southfield, Hans Joachim (Yogi) and his wife Connie of Millbrook, Ortwin and his wife Vi of Parkhill, Ontario; four sisters; Maria Adams, Gerda Ehl, Martha Massong, Hermiene Shumann; one brother; Joseph Rupp, all of Germany; one sister; Paula Grau of Switzerland;
six grandchildren; Ryan, Erin, Randy, Bradley, Nathan and Kyle; five step-daughters; four step-sons; 15 step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and also by several nieces and nephews. Hans was predeceased by his first wife, Johanna (Gier) who passed away in 1991, 2 brothers Adolf, Alfred and a sister Emilie.
A service celebrating Johann Andreas (Hans)'s life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2000. The interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery.
