Mrs. Franciska Dons of Kiwanis Nursing Home Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 26, 2000 at the age of 93. Born in Aniskiai Estate on October 27, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Zeugen Aleksandras and Prane (Dausiene) Rackauskas and was the wife of the late Svend J. Dons. Franciska will be remembered by two daughters; Maryte and her husband Peter Hansen of California, USA, and Elsbeth and her husband Richard Weatherhead of Upper Rawdon, NS; her son; Svend (Stan) Dons of Edmonton, Alberta; six Grandchildren; Darren, Janet, John, Karen,Thomas and Jennifer; three great grandchildren; Travis, Zachary and Hannah; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 . A service celebrating Franciska's life will be held from St. Francis Xavier on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at 10:30 am. The interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
