Obituary of Douglas Otis
Douglas "Lawrence" Otis was born in Clover Hill on July 15, 1923, he was the
son of the late Alexander D. Otis and Emma R. (Campbell) and was the husband of the late Marguerite (Cunningham) Otis.
Lawrence was retired from Canada Packers and was a member of the Sussex Golden "K".
Mr. Douglas "Lawrence" Otis of Sussex Corner, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 26, 2000 at the age of 76. Douglas "Lawrence" is survived by six brothers; Aubrey and his wife Joan of Norton, Elvin and his wife Lorna of Sussex Corner, Ronald of Picadilly, Murray and Marion of Apohaqui, Clarence and Joyce of Parlee Brook,
Ernest and his wife Marg of Southfield; two sisters; Ethel Gailey and her husband Elmer of Apohaqui, Marie Henderson and her husband Donald of Hatfield Point; his mother-in-law, Vida Cunningham of McGregor Brook; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Saturday 2-4, 7-9 .
A service celebrating Douglas "Lawrence"'s life will be held from St. John's United Church (Sussex Corner) on Sunday, May 28, 2000 at 3:00 pm. The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
