Lilly Callaghan was born in Hunters Home, NB on March 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Vine (Morton) Cromwell and was the wife of the late John Callaghan. Mrs. Lilly Levica Callaghan of Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, formerly of Norton, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on March 27, 2000 at the age of 82. Lilly will be remembered by her daughters; Shirley and her husband Lester Mercer of Norton, Grace and her husband Harold Speight of Walker Settlement, and Ann Ferguson of Quispamsis, her sons; Oliver Cromwell of Hunters Home, and John and his wife Sharon Callaghan of Norton, her brothers; Arthur and his wife Joan Cromwell of Hunters Home, Hanford and his wife Margaret Cromwell of Miramichi City, and King and his wife Barbara Cromwell of Kenora, Ontario, her sisters; Annie and her husband Walter Beck of Coles Island, and Dorian and her husband Ralph Keirstead of Millstream, nine grandchildren, Marsha, Amos, Garnet, Julie, Clorice, Brandon, Trevor, Aaron and Cheynia, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Lilly was predeceased by her brothers; Wellington, Oliver, Seth, Jason, & Ernest. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM . A service celebrating Lilly's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Wards Creek Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
