Bertie Boyd was born in Springfield on April 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George and Mayne (Green) Henderson and was the wife of the late Merton Boyd. Mrs. Bertie Boyd of Cody's, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on March 18, 2000 at the age of 73. Bertie will be remembered by her beloved husband Merton; sons; Norman and his wife Joan, Gary and his wife Jennie, Arnold and his wife Geraldine, of Codys, Russell of Saint John, John and his wife Karen, Michael, and Mark and his wife Sherry of Codys, and Albert and his wife Nina of Ontario; brother; Cecil and his wife Ruth of Hampton, and by her sisters; Ellen Henderson of Norton, Lila Brown of Sussex, and Bernice MacKinnon of Belleisle Creek; 20 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Bertie was predeceased by her daughters; Gail and Yvonne, her son Lloyd, and her brothers Milton, Everett, and Earl, and by her sister Viola Elms. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 7-9 pm Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Bertie's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 21, 2000 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Coles Island Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
