Thomas Stockdale was born in Darlings Island, NB on July 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Thomas and Josephine (McMillan) Stockdale and was the husband of the late Laura (Roberts) Stockdale. Mr. Thomas Austen Stockdale of Drurys Cove, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on March 15, 2000 at the age of 74. Thomas will be remembered by his beloved wife, Laura I. (Roberts) Stockdale, his sons; John (Nan), Stephen (Emily), Bill (Rose), and by his daughters; Mary Anne Steeves (fiance Kevin Mitton), and Louise Pitcher (Jack), his daughter-in-law Judy Stockdale, his brother John C. (Marilyn) of Cassidy Lake; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; also by several nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his son Richard, and his sister Muriel Stockdale. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Thomas's life will be held from Church of the Ascension on Saturday, March 18, 2000 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Ascension. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
