Mary Sherriff was born in Saint John on July 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anabel (Maskell) Viger and was the wife of the late Bill Sherriff. Mary retired from Central Care in Saint John. Mrs. Mary Florence Sherriff of Coles Island, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 14, 2000 at the age of 81. Mary was predeceased by her first husband the late W.J. (Bill) Turner who passed away in 1962 and by her second husband the late W.H. (Bill) Sherriff who passed away in 1968. Mary was also predeceased by 2 infant sons, John Paul and William George and by a grandson, Sean. Mary will be remembered by her four daughters; Joan Provencal and her husband Ray of Florida, Trudy McMahon and her husband Ed of Burlington, Ont., Norma Platt and her husband Tim of Scarborough, Ont., Pat Kernick of Kingston, Ont., ten grandchildren; Tony, Patty (Robert), P.J. (Louise) Kelly-Marie, Michael, Terri-Lynn, Steven, Grant, Shirley and Michael; four great grandchildren; Jonathan, Kelly Ann, Chelsea and T.J.; several brothers; sisters, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service celebrating Mary Florence's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 17, 2000 at 11:00 am.
