Max Steeves was born in Elgin on November 21, 1908, he was the son of the late Clifford and Emma (Nichols) Steeves and was the husband of the late Eva V. (Friars) Steeves. Mr. Max Alfred Steeves of Sussex, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on January 14, 2000 at the age of 91. Max will be remembered by three sons; Beverly and Sharon of Riverview, Dr. Alfred and Helen of New Maryland, Donald and Carolyn of Elgin; sister, Sylva Hope of Salisbury; eight grandsons; one granddaughter and two great grandsons. Max was predeceased by a sister Marie Steeves. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service celebrating Max Alfred's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Sunday, January 16, 2000 at 2:30 pm.
