Reta McLeod was born in Old Barns on April 16, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Kathleen (Kent) Logan and was the wife of the late Bentley McLeod. Reta retired from Sears Canada, She was a life member of St. Paul's United Church and a member of St. Paul's United Church UCW, and also a Red Cross volunteer for many years. Mrs. A. Reta McLeod of Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 31, 1999 at the age of 80. Reta will be remembered by her daughters; Carol Smith and her husband Clifford of Brookfield, NS, Susan Dunfield and her husband Malcolm of Riverview, NB, a step brother; Parker Cox of Halifax, NS, four grandchildren; Kelly, Susan, Aaron and Kevin; a great grandson Jacob; also by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Reta was predeceased by her step-father; Creighton Cox and by two step-brothers; Kenneth and Phillip. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A service celebrating Reta's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Thursday, November 4, 1999 at 3:00 pm. The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
