Sydney Walker was born in North Staffordshire, on August 19, 1912, he was the son of the late Henry and Georgina (Webster) Walker and was the husband of the late Laura (MacKinnon) Walker. Sydney was a Lumber Mill Surveyor for many years. Mr. Sydney R. Walker of Smith Creek, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on October 14, 1999 at the age of 87. Sydney will be remembered by his two daughters; Grace Dyer and her Husband Paul of Eastern Passage, NS, Valerie Walker and her boyfriend Paul Melanson of Sussex; son; Chris and his wife Sandra of Ripples, NB; Five grandchildren; Mike Dyer, and his wife Sandy, Lynne Gaunce and her husband Tim Trent and Matthew Walker and Eric Melanson; four great grandchildren; Mike Dyer, Taylor, Sydney and Breanne Gaunce; also by several nieces and nephews. Sydney was predeceased by a daughter; Ella, 2 Sons; Eric and David, a Brother; Bill and a grandson; Stephen Dyer. . The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating Sydney's life will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Sunday, October 17, 1999 at 3:00 pm. The interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
