Donald Marriott was born in Fairview on July 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Walter and Flora (Barrett) Marriott and was the husband of Marjorie (Johnson) Marriott. Donald was a retired Accountant for Co-op Atlantic, He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, a member of the Church Choir, and held many offices. He was a member of the Chi Rho fellowship. He held several positions with the Boy Scouts of Canada. He sat on the Parents Committee for the Kiwanis Youth Band. Mr. Donald Archibald Marriott of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 11, 1999 at the age of 68. Donald will be remembered by his two daughters; Patricia Gallant of Wolfville, NS, Lori Santoro and her husband Marco of Bridgewater NS; four sons; Gary Gallant and his wife Pauline of Tennasee, Ronald Gallant and his wife Maria of Oshawa, Ont, Craig Marriott of Halifax, David and his wife Theresa of Sussex; two brothers; Lloyd Marriott and his wife Marion of Halifax, NS, Wayne Marriott and his wife Linda of New Minas, NS; seven sisters; Diana Van Nordon and her husband Richard of Halifax, Aileen Poole of Lewisburg, Cape Breton, Clara Ford of Wolfville, NS, Julia Heald and her husband Pat of Conwalis, NS, Karen Newton and her husband Fred of Woodstock, Ont., Vera Angus and her husband Gorton of Thunder Bay, Ont., Avis Maxwell of Woodstock, Ont.; ten grandchildren; Jonathan, Christopher, Joey, Alex, David, Joslynn, Shannon, Matthew, Michael and Stephen; also by several nieces and nephews. Donald was also predeceased by his Sister; Gloria. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Monday 7-9pm, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville, NS. A service celebrating Donald's life will be held from St. John's Anglican Church on Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at 11:00 am.
