Gordon Norrad was born in Sussex on December 13, 1923, he was the son of the late Willard and Helen (Sutherland) Norrad and was the husband of Elizabeth (Betty) (Wallace) Norrad. He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20, a veteran of WWII, as well as a 50 year member of the commercial travelers association. Mr. Gordon Willard Norrad of Sussex, passed away at his residence on August 29, 1999 at the age of 75. Besides his wife, Dode is survived by his daughters; Pat and her husband Murray McGibbon of Sussex, and Nancy and her husband Bill Swift of Toronto, his sons; Gord and his wife Pat Norrad of Victoria, BC, and Tom and his wife Cindy of Halifax, NS, his brothers; Douglas, Harold, and Don "Red" of Sussex, and Ralph and Richard of Fredericton and his sisters; Zola "Timmy" Price of Fredericton, Jayne "Teet" Scott of Sussex, and Judy Huggard of Saint John, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dode was predeceased by a brother Murray. . The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm . A service celebrating Gordon Willard's life will be held from St. Francis Xavier on Wednesday, September 1, 1999 at 12:00 pm. The interment will take place at Wards Creek. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
