Amy MacArthur was born in New Canaan on March 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Rowland Corey and Bessie Secord and was the wife of the late Hanford MacArthur. Amy was a member of the Sussex United Baptist Church, the Pythian Sisters Prince Edward Temple #22, a life member and past president of the Womens Auxilary of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a past member of the Sussex Seniors Club. Mrs. Amy Marie MacArthur of Sussex Corner, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on June 1, 1999 at the age of 87. Amy will be remembered by her daughters; Carolyn and Alex Drummond of Toronto, and Charlene MacArthur of Sussex; son; Rowland of Sussex; brother; William of Salisbury; sister; Louise Geldart of Cambridge, Ont, and also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers; Walter, Gordon, Bloise, Gideon, and Donald. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating Amy Marie's life will be held from Sussex United Baptist Church on Thursday, June 3, 1999 at 2:00 pm.
