Harry Marks Sr. was born in Greer Settlement on January 22, 1909, he was the son of the late Robert and Caroline Sarah (Seeley) Marks and was the husband of Elizabeth (Duncan) Marks. Harry was a retired Bridge foreman with the D.O.T. Mr. Harry S. Marks Sr. of Sussex Corner, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on April 14, 1999 at the age of 90. Harry was predeceased by his first wife Ruth A. Hunter who passed away in 1976. Harry will be remembered by his two daughters; Gwen Carty of St. Martins, Roberta Coates and her husband Ken of Saint John; four sons; Reg and his wife Elizabeth of Saint John, Harry Jr. and his wife Idella of St. Martins, Don and his wife Joyce of Vancouver, BC, Bill and his wife Marie of Edmonton Alberta; two brothers; Austin and his wife Lila of St. Martins and Jim of Saint John; two sisters; Ethel Mannett of St. Martins, Stella Wilson and her husband Hubert of Florida; several grandchildren; great grandchildren, also by several neices and nephews. Harry was predeceased by four brothers; Jack, Doc, Gordon and Fred. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Thurs. 7-9pm, Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm and Sat at the Church from 10am till time of service. A service celebrating Harry's life will be held from St. Martins United Church on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at 2:30 pm. The interment will take place at Oceanview Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
