James McGlashen was born in Amherst on September 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Harris and Evelyn (Watson) McGlashen and was the husband of Mildred (Shipley) McGlashen. Jim was a retired farmer and Electrician with New York Boiler. He also worked at the GM Plant for 22 years. Jim was a member of St. Paul's United Church and the Norton Seniors Club. He was Past President of the Country Living Days. Mr. James Reginald McGlashen of Norton, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on February 7, 1999 at the age of 76. James will be remembered by his three daughters; Laura Barbery and her husband David of Fredericton, Marjorie Elliott and her husband Tim of Chipman, Karen Doirion and her husband Lucien of Stanley; three sons; Reginald of Alberta, Ian of Fredericton, Eric and his wife Darlene of Ont; sister; Muriel Lohnes of Saint John, 11 grandchildren; one great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. . The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service celebrating James Reginald's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at 10:30 am.
