Charles Browne was born in Hubley on May 28, 1911, he was the son of the late Sydney and Caroline (Bradshaw) Browne and was the husband of Thelma (McRae, Jonah) Browne. Charles was retired from Berkshire County Council, Municipality of Berkshire Co., England. He was member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20, the Golden K, the Naturalist Society and the Sussex United Baptist Church. Mr. Charles Ernest Browne of Sussex Corner, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 27, 1998 at the age of 87. Charles will be remembered by her daughter; Anthea Browne of Seville, Spain; three sons; Adrian and his wife Roslyn, Colin, Vincent all of Berkshire Co., England; two step-daughters; Helen Campbell and her husband Richard of Sussex, Marion McLean and her husband Leigh of Sussex; one step-son; Brian Jonah and his wife Lesia of Sussex; four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren. Charles was predeceased by a brother; William. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Sunday 2-4 pm. A service celebrating Charles's life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 30, 1998 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
