Levolia Thorne was born in Cody's on September 2, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Dollie (Smith) Perry and was the wife of the late Carey W. Thorne. Levolia was a member of Cody's United Baptist Church, the Women's Institute, member of the Women's Missionary Society in Cody's and was part of the Gloria Dae Singers. Mrs. Levolia Mae Thorne of Cody's, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 19, 1998 at the age of 80. Levolia will be remembered by her daughter; Anna Thorne and her husband Otis of Cody's; three sons; Arnold and his wife Barbara of Sussex; Arthur and his wife Charis of Cambridge Narrows; Carl and his wife Irene of Quispamsis; one brother; George Perry of Cody's; three sisters; Margery Hetherington and her husband Robert of Cody's, Gertrude MacDonald and her husband Kenneth of Quispamsis; Myrtle Dykeman and her husband Russell of Sussex Corner; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and also by several nieces and nephews. Levolia was predeceased by three brothers; Judson, Freeman and Elisha. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wallace Funeral Home. A service celebrating Levolia Mae's life will be held from Cody's United Baptist Church on Saturday, November 21, 1998 at 2:00 pm.
