Obituary of Havelock Dunfield
Havelock Dunfield was born in Springdale on June 20, 1921, he was the
son of the late John H. Dunfield and Lury E. (Goddard) Dunfield and was the husband of Josephine (McLeod) Dunfield.
Havelock served overseas during World War II in the Canadian Army. He was a retired Bus Driver for District 4.
Mr. Havelock Russell Dunfield of Penobsquis, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 17, 1998 at the age of 77. Havelock will be remembered by his wife; Josephine; sons; Mike and Patricia Reicker of Sussex, Danny and his wife Mary Ellen of Bangor, Maine, David and his wife Linda of Prince George, BC, Karl and his wife Shirley of North Rustico, PEI; brother; Harry and his wife Frances of Penobsquis;
two sisters; Mary Prosser (Nae) of St. Stephen, Nellie Layden of Portage;
14 grandchildren, also by several nieces and nephews.
Havelock was predeceased by a son; Joseph and by a daughter Joanne. Also by four brothers; Roy, Don, George and Walter, two sisters; Birdie (Doll) and Bertha.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
A service celebrating Havelock's life will be held from Penobsquis United Baptist on Thursday, November 19, 1998 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Cardwell Cemetery.
