Obituary of J.L. Kirke Steele

Mr. J. L. Kirke Steele was born on July 20, 1904 in St. Martins, NB; he was the son of the late Leonard and Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Steele.

He worked as a dairy farmer for many years.

Kirke will live on in the hearts of his wife, Muriel; his daughter, Susan Keirstead and her husband Fraser; his sons: Bob and his wife Louise, Allan and his wife Linda, David and his wife Sandy, John and Ralph; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. J. L. Kirke Steele of Shady Pines passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on September 24, 1993 at the age of 89.

He was predeceased by his brothers: Ron and Clive.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  

A service celebrating Kirke's life was held from Trinity Anglican church on Tuesday, September 28, 1993 with Rev. Brown officiating. The interment took place in Trinity Cemetery.
