Obituary of Fannie McFarlane

 

Mrs. Fannie Louise McFarlane was born in Passekeag on March 27, 1902, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ada (Connor) Tays.

 

She was a graduate of Provincial Normal School and taught for many years in different schools in Kings Co. Her early married years were spent in Roachville, she moved to Sussex and taught for Sussex Elementary School from which she retired.

 

She was a member of the (RNBTA) Retired New Brunswick Teachers Assoc., St. Paul's United church and a former member of the St. Paul's United Church UCW. 

 

Fannie will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Alice Adams and her husband Dr. Graham Adams of Sackville, NB;  her sister, Muriel Allaby and her husband John of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Fannie Louise McFarlane of Berwick, passed away at her residence on November 17, 1993 at the age of 91.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, S. Raleigh McFarlane who passed away in 1969; her brothers: Roy, Gordon, Howard, Horace and Ernest and by her sisters: Hazel Tays and Greta Northrup.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Fannie's life was held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 20, 1993 at 2:00pm with Rev. Bob Hussey officiating.
