Obituary of Walter Hourihan
Mr. Walter Hourihan was born in Wards Creek on May 31, 1905; he was the son of the late John and Aldana (Patterson) Hourihan .
Walter was a retired carpenter and a member of the Trinity Anglican Church in Saint John.
He will live on in the hearts of his brothers: Wilfred of Apohaqui, Patrick of Passekeag and David of Passekeag; his sister, Annie Kennedy of Hampton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Walter Hourihan of Sussex formerly of Saint John passed away at the Sussex Health Center on June 11, 1993 at the age of 88.
He is predeceased by his three sisters: Elizabeth, Nellie and Mary and by his brothers: Gus, Steven, Bennet, Lee and Felix.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation was held on Saturday from 7-9pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
A Celebration of Walter's life was held on Monday, June 14, 1993 at 10am with Father Wally Brown and Rev. Patricia Brittain officiating. The interment took place in St. Paul's Anglicna Church Cemetery in Londonderry, NB.
