Obituary of Eva Lenora Darling
A Celebration of Life and interment will be held in memory of Eva Darling and Cindy Darling at the Wesley United Cemetery on Shortcut Road in Berwick on Saturday July 2, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock. Everyone is welcome to join us at the Millstream Regional Recreation Association Center across from the cemetery after the internment for a reception. We want you to share your memories of our mom and our sister with us.
With love and much sadness, the family of Eva L. Darling, wife of the late Gordon M. Darling announces her peaceful and unexpected passing January 31, 2022 at her residence the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex surrounded by her loving family.
Eva was known for her feisty and stubborn nature, charismatic smile, and deep love of people. She loved baking with her grandkids, road trips and lunch and tea with her siblings. She always rooted for the underdog, the first to give her last dime or the shirt off her back. She had a heart of gold, a quick wit and always a helping hand. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
Born in Point Wolfe, NB on August 30, 1939, to John and Nancy "Dolly" Lynch, she was one of 11 children.
She leaves behind her loving family who will miss her beyond measure: Linda Lamb and her husband Brian, Greg Darling and his wife Jodi, Don Darling, Lisa Darling, Andrew Darling and his wife Serena and Patti Darling; her sisters: Doris Folkins, Lois McFarlane and Shirley Gale and her husband Terry; her brothers: Fred Lynch, Jack Lynch and his wife Wanda and Ronald Lynch and his wife Gail; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many closely loved nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Darling; her son, Tony Darling; her daughter, Cindy Darling; her sisters: Dorothy (in infancy), Freda Long, Mary Hagell and Helen Devine.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A Celebration of Eva’s life was held from Wallace Community Chapel on February 8, 2022 at 2:00pm.
