Obituary of Julie Daley

Julia Krista Spellman-Daley was born in Saint John on February 28, 1966; She was the daughter of the late Carl and Carol (Forward) Spellman.

Mums’ early life was filled with love and laughs. A troublemaker who always told us crazy stories of school times. Playing hockey, getting into fights, and hiding rum in her locker. She met dad when she was working at the bluebird and ended up dating and marrying him after throwing coffee in his face. Out of that 32-year marriage came Spencer and I. Both each a twin of either parent. Throughout the years the family of 4 grew into multiple chosen daughters, 4 beautiful grandchildren and numerous chosen grandchildren. Mom loved to work. She wore multiple hats throughout the years; waitress, gas bar attendant / manager and customer service reps. Her health drastically diminished over the last 10 years. She loved her grandchildren more then her daughters sometimes it seemed. Nana was always taking kids for sleepovers, going shopping, out for treats or playing pretend in her room. She loved to watch hallmark movies, basically addicted. You would never see mum without her lifesavers mints, and she loved to share. She was a die-hard Toronto fan till the very end, even after all the teasing throughout the years. Mums’ life was full of more hardships then most, but she kept fighting till the end out of love for her family. Family meant everything to her, and she meant everything to us. She lives on in the heart of her two girls, Jordan and Spencer along with the hearts of her grandchildren. Her devoted husband, her siblings and extended family. 

She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Jamie; her children: Jordan Daley and Tyler Dempster of Penobsquis and Spencer Vangalen and her husband Steven of Greenwood, NS; her sister, Gail Keirstead and Kevin Miller; her brother, Richard Spellman and his wife Angela; her grandchildren: Ryker (Bugsy), Harmony (Harm), Andrew (Bubba) and Issac (Mr. Moo); her chosen sister, Melanie Scribner; her special friends: Kimberly Maillet and Debbie MacDonald; as well as several nieces and nephews and bonus children and grandchildren.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julie Daley announce her sudden passing at her home on July 5, 2022 at the age of 56.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1-2pm. All other arrangements will be held privately.
