Lori, sorry for the loss of your father. He was a great conversationist and could always predict when a winter storm would result in a power outage in Sussex. A man with many stories to share as well as advice to give when requested. He will be missed.

Just a very great guy. I worked for Don in 1957 as a student between my 11th and 12th high school years at the terminal station for Grand lake Plant. The crews weren't big in those days and consisted of Don the foreman, a young lineman from Fredericton and me. He was a natural trainer and in a week I was doing the same work as the lineman and the bus work was finished well into the school year essentially by Don and I. Allowed me to go to university the next year. I crossed path with Don many times when I joined NBP out of university engineering, it was always a pleasure to see and talk to him.
He was the epitome of the magazine picture lineman. Clean boots, hardhat, work clothes I can see him now striding across the yard. Having done a good days work he was as neat and tidy at the end as at the start.
My condolences to the family

When I first started at All Seasons and Don found out who I was, I got the nickname of "Little Herb". He worked with my Grampy Crawford, who passed away when I was 5, and I loved hearing stories about him that I never knew before that.. His and Aileens anniversary was the same date as my husband's and mine and I always wished him Hapoy Anniversary. I will forever think of them on that date. We have missed Don not coming in since Covid started. He loved giving squeezes, and oatmeal and pancakes with Jodi's maple syrup. My sympathies to all of his family, he will be missed. They don't make them like Don anymore!
In sympathy
Sue Crawford-MacDonald
