Scott, Chantelle and River. I am so incredibly sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was one of the kindest, selfless, most caring ladies I javelin ever had the pleasure of knowing. I originally met your mom in 1992, at a local group that we both attended, called TOPS. I had so many funny moments with Mary. I will cherish my memories forever. I am sending you love and Light, and know that you are being held up by so many that loved your mom.

Thank you, Ann for sharing your memories of our Mother. Scott & Chantel are grieving the loss of Chantel’s mother as well as grieving for our Mum. So, it’s a very challenging time for them. Mum loved the camaraderie at TOPS & valued those friendships. Susan (Mary’s daughter)

Susan: My sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom. I have many fond memories of spending time at your house on Main St. many, many years ago. I was a patient in the Sussex Hospital back in the 1980s while your Mom was still working there. I remember her stopping in to visit me several times even though I was not her patient. She was so kind and thoughtful. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

On behalf of "The Oldies of KCMH", I extend to all of Mary's family, our condolences on her passing. I worked with her at the old KCMH as a newly graduated nurse, and then on our committee for many years. Always enjoyed our times together, lots of stories and laughs. She will be missed.

Thank you Caroline & all the nurses that worked with our Mum. On the back of the Funeral Program she had requested that The Nurse’s Prayer be printed which I thought was a lovely tribute to her nursing career & all the nurses & patients with whom she worked. Our Mum had the heart of a caregiver but she also had the heart of a mischief maker & enjoyed a good laugh as well. Also she was an extraordinary story teller. We will miss all that very much. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. Susan

Scott particularly enjoyed going to visit Clifford and Scott B as he loved her cooking and always felt welcome. Mary will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Susan, Clifford, Cathy, Scott, and families, my sincere condolences on Mary's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I have very fond memories of growing up around the Boyd household many years ago. Charlie and Mary (and later, Don) were sources of great joy, and laughter, and at times comfort during rough times in life. Among many other things, so many and too numerous to mention, I recall their gracious hospitality to my parents, when Charlie and Mary took them in for several weeks following my dad's open heart surgery in the 1990's, and Mary nursed him back to health. As well, they also took in this poor "orphan" for two summers during my time in medical school in Newfoundland. They were truly second parents to me, and for that, I will never forget! Condolences to Mary's family. What a privilege it was to have Mary as a neighbor at Dutch Haven. She was so vibrant and full of joy that it brought pleasure to be in her presence. Mary was smart for her years of longevity, loved her family, worked hard and enjoyed life. Rest in peace dear lady, your earthly job is complete, well done.

Susan and Cathy, I want to extend deepest sympathy to you and your brothers and to your individual families.
I had not seen your Mother in many years so was delighted to meet her at a Bible study at Imperial Dutch Haven. She was delightful, dynamic(for 97) and a blessing.I reminded her I knew her two daughters when they were in high school but had lost touch.
She told us about the book she had written and I was glad to be able to read it.
I will be thinking about you prayerfully over the next several days.

I’m so sorry to hear that your beautiful Mother has passed.
Mary was a sweet kindhearted lady who will be miss by anyone who knew her.
Her bread making skill was excellent but I can still crave her homemade tacos!
They were the BEST!

I am saddened to learn of Mary's passing.
She was always smiling and cheerful, and often had a story to share. When she moved away after Don passed, I missed her in church. I'm glad I got to read her book, and Dons. She certainly was gifted with the written word.
My sincere condolences.
