Obituary of Clarence Otis
Mr. Clarence Albert Otis was born in Southfield, NB on October 2, 1937; He was the son of the late Alexander and Emma (Campbell) Otis and the husband of the late Joyce Otis who passed away in 2014.
Clarence was a hardworking man, having worked as a mechanic for McGibbon Diesel for many years. He was a proud member of his community; He was very active in the St. John’s United Church, The Local Service District Committee (LSD) and the Orange Lodge. He was a past member of the Norton Fire Department and a lifetime member of the Fish and Game Association.
He will live on in the hearts of his children: Paul (Tanis) and Julie Otis; his grandchildren: Kimberley Otis (Michael) and Gregory Otis (Chelsea); his great grandchildren: Mason, Karlee and Riley; his siblings: Murray (Marion), Ernest (Sally), Ethel Gailey and Marie Henderson; his brother-in-law, Gary Arnold (Margot); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Mr. Clarence Otis of Parlee Brook passed away suddenly at home on March 27, 2023 at the age of 85.
Along with his parents and loving wife, he is predeceased by his son, David Otis; his brothers: Elvin (Lorna), Aubrey (Joan), Lawrence (Marguerite)and Ronald; his brothers-in-law: Elmer Gailey and Donnie Henderson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 3-7pm. A Celebration of Clarence’s life will take place from St. John’s United Church on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:30am.
