Obituary of Pat DeVine

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia Dawn “Pat” DeVine announce her passing on May 18, 2023 at the age of 61. Born in Sussex on April 28, 1962; She was the daughter of the Late Percy and Carcella “Kit’ (Tays) Floyd.

Pat was a successful businesswoman and hard worker. A woman well known for her strong will and determination, she never let anything get in her way. She was serious in the face of adversity but was also the life of the party. She loved to laugh and joke and make people smile.

She loved four wheeling, camping, time spent with her family (especially her grandchildren) and friends, and she never missed an opportunity to take an evening driving back roads. She was always ready for an adventure and her camp was her happy place.

Pat was the lend a hand to everyone, give the shirt off your back kind of person – known for her friendly and outgoing spirit she will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she has touched.

She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Rodney; her children: Melissa Parlee and Dwayne DeVine; her grandchildren: Brooke Parlee, Braylee Parlee, Breaunna Baker and Teneal DeVine; her siblings: Eileen Hayward (Gordon), Gladys Tabor (Andy), Betty Stanwix (David), Dora O’Brine (Vince), Diane DeVine (Doug), Bernice Hanlin (Daryl), Jerry Floyd (Patricia) and Marilyn Floyd (John Beech); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: Daryl Floyd and Murray Floyd

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). As per Pat's request all arrangements will be held privately.
