Obituary of Murray Frank Urquhart
Rev. Murray Frank Urquhart passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 13th, 2023, at Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, NB. He was born on October 25th, 1920, to the Late Lloyd and Irene (Webster) Urquhart.
Murray is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Evelyn; his children: Pam, Gwenith (Dale Cook), Scott (Heather), David (Carol), and Richard (Lisa); his grandchildren: Camaron, Aaron, Jordan, Nathan, Sarah, and Evan; and his brother, Clarence.
Besides his parents, Murray was predeceased by his siblings: Howard, Hazen, Ira, Willard, Evelyn, and Cora.
He wore many hats during his 102 years as a farmer, carpenter, electrician, and minister. He worked hard his whole life, but his greatest passion was to uplift others through bible teaching and visiting the many people he cared so much about. He truly lived his faith and loved his family in everything that he did.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A visitation will take place on Friday, June 16 from 12-1:30pm from the Wallace Community Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Murray’s life will be held, also on Friday, at 2:00 pm from the chapel. Please be advised, from 1:30-2pm, there will be a private visitation time for the family only.
