My condolenses to the Thorne family on the loss of Eldon Thorne. I got to know Eldon through Royal Pontiac and bowling. I affectionately knew Eldon as "Rooster". Always had a story to tell me. Also remember he enjoyed collecting and repair clock works. Just a nice guy.

I was so very saddened to hear of Eldon's passing when I was speaking with Linda this morning at St. Mary's Anglican. I love your Dad - and I think he knew it - he always seemed to get a kick out of me, and I am so very glad that I had an opportunity to visit with him (and you, Marilyn) the last few summers, and view Eldon's beautiful gardens; it was not just 'the tour' I enjoyed but Eldon's knowledge of gardening and his obvious love for his beautiful flowers - his gentleness was always so evident to me when he was in his garden. I am blessed to have known him. Love from Joanna; you are all in my prayers.
