Obituary of Robert George Crowe

With deep sadness, the family of Robert George Crowe shares the news of his peaceful passing on July 12, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 7, 1969 in Sussex, NB, Robert was the cherished son of Jeanie (Dickie) from Cornhill, NB, and the late Leverett Crowe from Sussex, NB.

Robert, affectionately known to many as Bob and to family as Bobby, was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and loyal friend. Growing up on a dairy farm instilled in him a strong work ethic, and affection for animals. At the age of 10, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by travelling on his bike to neighbors selling eggs out of his backpack. As an adult, he successfully established and managed a custom manure spreading operation and a trucking company, providing employment opportunities for many in the community. Years later he obtained his red seal certification in heavy equipment mechanics. He spent his free time enjoying outdoor activities such as fishing and four-wheeling and spending time catching up with friends. Bob’s sense of humor and genuine interest in people made conversation with anyone effortless.

Bobby’s memory will forever reside in the hearts of his beloved wife, Tara Olesen of Sussex, NB, and his adoring daughters: Courtney Crowe (Nathan Blais) of Quispamsis, NB, and Julia Crowe (Jared Wesselius) of Moncton, NB. He is also survived by his siblings Esther Keirstead (Galen) of Collina, NB, her daughter Stephanie Buxton (Phillip Gagne) of Newburgh, Maine.  Additionally, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20 from 4-7pm. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00am.
