Obituary of Ashley E. W. Smith

Ashley E. W. Smith of North View, NB, passed away peacefully at his home on August 1, 2023.

Ashley was born in Sussex, NB, on March 14, 1936. He was the son of the late Eules and Evelyn Smith. Ashley leaves behind his loving wife, Grace Smith (High); his daughters, Joy Dettling (Charles) of Spokane, WA, Becky Smith of Spokane, WA; Howard Smith (Debbie) of Auburn, NY, Tim Smith of Grand Falls, NB, Peter Smith (Cathy) of Marysville, WA; his twelve grandchildren; his sisters, Mable Forgrave of Sussex, NB, and Hazel Brown of Coles Island, NB; along with several nieces and nephews.

Ashley was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Elsie Ruth Smith; his grandchildren, Katie and Victoria Smith; his brothers, Harry, Raymond, and Eules; and his sisters, Mary and Susan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home of Perth-Andover, NB, and Wallace Funeral Home of Sussex, NB.

Resting at the TOBIQUE CHAPEL IN PLASTER ROCK, NB, with visitation on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 2 pm from the TOBIQUE CHAPEL. Pastor Dwayne Broad officiating. On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Ashley will be resting at Wallace Funeral Home in Sussex, NB, from 1-3 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Lower Millstream Cemetery following the visitation on Thursday afternoon.
