CLIFFORD JOHN MACPHERSON
1942-2023
It is with saddened hearts that we let go of our beloved, Clifford John MacPherson, who passed away at home in Sussex, New Brunswick on December 7, from complications related ALS. He
is survived by his wife, Brenda (Willoughby) and their sons Winston (Lisa), of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Chad (Beverly) of Montreal, Quebec.
Clifford John, was the only child born to, Clifford Ray and Katherine MacPherson of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, on May 27, 1942. He attended Stellarton High School, where he was Captain of
the basket ball team and was proud of winning the Nova Scotia Provincial Public Speaking Competition. After high school he enrolled at Acadia University obtaining a BBA (76), as well
meeting his soon to be wife, Brenda, (BSc.74 & B.Ed. 75). They were married in Ormstown, Quebec on August 31, 1974 and have celebrated 49 years of marriage.
A true salesman at heart. He started his career as a Life Insurance Agent in Kentville, Nova Scotia, followed by National Life in Halifax, where he obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter
(CLU) designation, ultimately becoming Agency Manager with North American Life Insurance in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Clifford was a teller of stories and lover of limericks, who made everyone that knew him laugh, cry and clap of all the tall tales he passionately and fondly shared. In his retirement years, he
especially enjoyed his time with Lucy his rescue dog and writing a novel on science fiction. He enjoyed entertaining by his pool and took great pride in opening it to family and friends.
Our family is grateful that Clifford is finally resting in peace.
As a line from his novel Time and Time Again, “WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN IN TIME”.
