Obituary of Mark Earle Sands
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Earle Sands, who at 56 years of age, went home to be with the Lord. He died peacefully at his home in Saint John, NB on February 28, 2024. Mark was born in Saint John on September 3, 1967. He was the son of Verna & Clyde Sands.
Mark was born with cerebral palsy and despite the challenges that go along with that, he was a very happy child and continued to always have his same sweet smile, throughout his life.
Mark loved spending time with his Mum & Dad at their cottage, on the Belleisle Bay. He also loved to watch TV and to look at magazines, especially the Reader’s Digest and his favorite treat was Peanut Butter Chip cookies.
Mark will be sadly missed by his mum, Verna; cousins Ronda & Bobby Proctor, Rona & Michael Kyle, Ronnie Morrison & Lauren Shea, Randy Morrison & Karen McMillan and all their families; as well as Christopher & Krista Kelter, who were very special to him.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Clyde Sands; his grandparents, Murray & Inez McMann; his aunt, Gloria Morrison; and his uncles, Bob McMann and Earle McMann.
Verna would like to thank everyone at Independence Plus for the excellent care they have given Mark.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Mark’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.
