Obituary of Phyllis Brown
It is with saddened hearts that the family of the late Phyllis Irene Brown announce her passing on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Sussex Health Centre in Sussex, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on March 26, 1958, she was a daughter of the late George and Irene (Bradley) Goddard.
Phyllis, otherwise known as “The Pickle Lady,” will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Ronald Brown of Picadilly, NB; her daughters: Laura Tobin (Michael) of Belleisle, NB, and Christa Hourihan (Clinton) of Norton, NB; her nephew and chosen son, Davie Goddard; her 96 year young mother-in-law, Francis Long; her grandchildren: Haley DeLong (Adam), Trai Brown (Kaylee), Mateo Tobin, and John Hourihan (Charlene); her great grandchildren: Ella DeLong, Emmitt Brown, and Paige Brown; and her sister: Sharon Clain, of Sussex, NB. Phyllis is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, her brothers and sisters-in-law, and other extended family and friends.
Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her brother, Louis; her father-in-law, Cecil Long; and her brother-in-law, Bernard Clain.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 3 from 6-9pm. A celebration of Phyllis’ life will take place from the Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, April 4 at 11:00am.
