Obituary of Floyd Earl Fairweather
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Floyd Earl Fairweather announce his passing on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at his home in Youngs Cove, NB. Born in Cumberland Bay, NB, on August 18, 1941, he was a son of the late Otty and Lilian (Clark) Fairweather.
Floyd was known for his love of the outdoors and lived for the opportunity to get out hunting, fishing or just going for drives. Also, close to his heart were his two furry friends, Skippy and Tinkerbell.
Floyd will live on in the hearts of his daughters: Kelly Fairweather-Cooper of Bon Accord, AB, Nancy Fairweather, of Sussex, and Lisa Fairweather, also of Sussex; his grandchildren: Mark Cooper and Lilian Cooper; his sister, Christina Welton (Clifford Forgrave) of Petitcodiac, NB; his brother, Ira Fairweather (Sheila Jones) of Poodiac, NB; his half sisters: Ruth Brown of Youngs Cove, NB and Anna Northrup of Lower Millstream; and his two poodles, Skippy and Tinkerbell. Floyd is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his brother, Norman; and his sisters, Beatrice Kierstead and Mildred Ivan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 6-8pm.
